Poor pacing is one of the main reasons runners fail to reach their goals, even after proper training. Going out too hard at the start of a race can leave you exhausted as you approach the finish line. Start too slow and you run the risk of leaving yourself with too much ground to make up later on. Running each mile or kilometre at an even pace helps to ensure you are able to reach the finish line predictably and within your target time. Pacebands can form an essential part of race preparation.

Pacebands are simple, disposable wristbands which list the time at which you should pass each mile or kilometre marker of your chosen distance, in order to meet your target time. Unlike an online pace calculator, Pacebands are made from durable Tyvek on a bright yellow background. Fixed into a wristband with a sticky tab, they are designed to be used in a single event, and will withstand the blood, sweat and tears of hard racing in all weather conditions.

All you need is a basic sports watch and a Paceband, and you can easily adjust your effort to ensure you run an evenly paced race, therefore giving yourself the best chance of meeting your goals in the races you’ve trained long and hard for.

How to order: Simply select your race distance in the Shop section and add your target times to the basket. Your Pacebands will be delivered by First Class Mail, usually in 1-3 working days.
